My name is Lau Dijksterhuis, and I guide entrepreneurs through the digital world.
My personal journey
Digikompas originated from my personal digital journey that began about 10 years ago during my studies, when I first had the idea to launch an app. Frustrated by the difficulty of finding outings and events in the region, I wanted to launch an app that would solve that exact problem. However, there was one problem: I couldn’t make apps and didn’t have the financial resources to outsource it.
What started as a dream has now, almost ten years later, become a reality as I was proud to deliver a new app for the website uitmetkinderen.nl in early 2025. And quite honestly, that felt like a dream come true.

Many people have great ideas but don’t always know how to translate them into the digital world. And that’s precisely where Digikompas comes into the picture. I understand how confusing the digital world can be and how difficult it can be to make the right choices. With Digikompas, I guide entrepreneurs through the digital world and provide them with the right solutions where necessary.
What I enjoy
Music is my daily companion. From lo-fi beats to festive EDM — it’s always on while I work. The speakers in the office were probably the best purchase. It not only makes working more enjoyable but also more creative. Feel free to stop by and enjoy!
What inspires me
I’m a huge fan of Tomorrowland. The way they bring together experience, technology, and creativity — that inspires me enormously. Everything there is perfect down to the smallest detail. I try to put that magic into my work as well: digital, personal, and with a touch of wonder.
