The NTD code focuses on a procedure for intermediaries for handling reports of unlawful and criminal content on the internet.
Digikompas B.V. Endorses the ‘Notice-and-Take-down’ Code of Conduct (NTD Code)
By endorsing the Notice & Takedown code of conduct, Digikompas B.V. aligns with a guideline used by virtually the entire Dutch Internet industry.
The NTD code focuses on handling reports regarding (alleged) unlawful and/or criminal content on the internet. Additionally, the code can also be used for content that intermediaries consider unwanted or harmful.

What We Use it For
Sometimes unlawful information appears on the Internet, or there are systems that enable unlawful activities. This can involve criminal websites (for example in the context of phishing or child pornography), but also misuse of copyrighted information or discrimination.
The NTD code respects the neutral role of Internet providers, includes hearing from all parties involved, ensures speed of action and thus minimizes overhead. This way, evident unlawfulness can be quickly neutralized and lengthy legal proceedings can be prevented. It provides online service providers with clarity on how they can act when they receive such a request, and helps those making reports to gain clarity about what they must and can do, and how providers handle these reports.
Making a Report
When you want to report unlawful and/or criminal material or information found on our website or a website hosted by us, please follow the steps below.
• Download the ‘NTD’ form at the bottom of this page
• Fill in the information requested on the form
• Collect the requested and relevant evidence
• Send the completed form and attachments to abuse@digikompas.com
• We will handle your complaint as quickly as possible but no later than within 7 working days, if necessary in consultation with an external advisor
• If it concerns an urgent case, we will handle the complaint within 48 hours to prevent further damage. We decide ourselves whether it is an urgent report
• We only process complaint forms that are completely and truthfully filled out
• We use your personal data only for handling the complaint and store your data only for the duration of the handling
